Sugar is yummy, BUT if you drink too much of it:
- Your bones might get weaker.
- You can get cavities, which the dentist will have to drill to fix.
- You can have trouble sleeping at night.
It's okay to have a sugary drink every now and then, if your parents
approve. But remember that a can of soda has about 10-13 teaspoons of sugar!
Instead of sugary drinks, try these healthy and great-tasting
choices:
- Drink lots of water! It quenches your thirst — while sugary
drinks make you thirsty!
- If you add one cup of water to your juice, it's healthier — and
you have more to drink.
- Eat a piece of fruit instead of drinking fruit juice.
