Have a Healthy Summer

Here are some easy ways to stay healthy this summer:

  • Go for healthier summer snacks like watermelon and peaches — and cut back on the chips and cookies.

  • Get off of the couch and get moving! Even indoors you can still do sit-ups and jumping jacks, or play catch with a spongy ball (the kind that doesn't knock Mom's lamp over!).

  • In good weather, go outside and run, jump and slide your way into shape!

  • Ask a parent to take you swimming — or to the park where you can run free, climb, jump, hop and bounce your way to fitness.

  • Walk your dog. Don't have one? Then grab a parent (and your imagination) and walk your invisible pet around the block!
