Try reading one of your books. Reading at night can help make you sleepy.
Relax and calm down an hour before bedtime.
Don't eat too much before going to bed. All that rumbling in your stomach could keep you (and the neighbors!) awake.
And speaking of noise: SHHHHH! Keep it quiet at bedtime. Turn off the TV, radio or anything else that makes a racket.
Use your imagination. Count sheep (or maybe puppies?) as they jump lazily over a fence.
Close your eyes and slowly count backwards from 100 to 1. Sometimes you'll fall asleep before you get to 87!
