Smart Shopping Lists
Mom Shopping for Vegetables
You don't have to "go organic" or break the bank to eat healthy. Just focus on filling your cart with:
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables

  • Whole grains (without enriched or bleached flours, if possible)

  • Lean meats with lots of protein

  • Low-fat dairy products

  • And maybe a few new additions like soy or tofu
You also don't have to be a nutrition-label ninja to enjoy a healthy diet. Just be aware of what your family is eating and keep an eye out for healthier alternatives to classic favorites. For example:
  • Invest in a juicer or blender instead of buying ready-made juices that contain corn syrup, sugar and other sweeteners.

  • Buy natural peanut butter instead of the chemical-filled variety. Better yet, make your own and have the kids help!
