Healthy Family Program
Family Cycling Together
At the Sara Lee Center for Women's Health, we offer the Healthy Family Program for families who want to adopt a healthier lifestyle through education, counseling, family involvement and group support.

This 12-week program is geared toward boys and girls 10-18 years of age and their parents.

We also offer a 4-week Healthy Family Preschool Program for young children and their parents. The program provides structured exercise for the kids while their parents attend an educational class led by counselors, pediatricians and nutritionists.

The overall philosophy of the Healthy Family Program is simple: IT ALL ADDS UP!

That's because making a series of small, permanent changes in a person's lifestyle will result in improved health and weight loss.

Small Changes
  • We teach our participants how to eat a healthy amount of food every day, instead of "under-eating" or "crash" dieting.

  • We teach our participants how to get an appropriate amount of exercise every day.
Permanent Changes
  • We teach our participants how to make changes in their homes and routines that will help them stick to their plan and enjoy a healthier life!
