Q. What does it cost my restaurant to participate in KidSmart?

A. KidSmart does not impose any membership fees or other direct costs. And all KidSmart materials — including door decals, displays and Loyalty Reward Cards — are provided free of charge.

Q. Why should my restaurant join the KidSmart initiative?

A. This is a great opportunity for you to show the community that you care and you partner in this effort to improve our children's health!

Q. How will the KidSmart Program benefit my restaurant?

A. As a KidSmart Restaurant, your proactive stance on behalf of children's health will be recognized and promoted throughout the community via:

• Quarterly ads in the Winston-Salem Journal acknowledging all participating restaurants


• Special articles about KidSmart in the Sara Lee Center for Women's Health newsletter, mailed to 100,000 homes in Forsyth County

Q. What if my restaurant can't meet 5 of the 7 KidSmart criteria?

A. We realize that meeting KidSmart's menu/environment
criteria is a goal that may not be achievable overnight. So we encourage each restaurant to begin the process and to contact us when it does meet at least 5 of the criteria. We'll then proceed to recognize (and congratulate!) the establishment as a KidSmart Restaurant.

Q. What if my restaurant runs out of KidSmart materials?

A. No problem. Just call 336-718-3288 or email ksdavis@novanthealth.org to reorder KidSmart materials.
